This year is the ‘Year of Tolerance’ in the UAE.

The idea is to promote cultural, communal, racial, religious tolerance within the country and raise awareness about it.

So many volunteers came together to be a part of the event 

In the spirit of tolerance about 5,000 people volunteered to come together and make the largest carpet of flowers.

The initiative is called ‘Flowers of Tolerance’, and the whole idea was to try and break the Guinness World Record.

Volunteers from over 150 nationalities came together at the parking of Dubai Festival city to make the largest flower carpet with 50 tonnes of flowers. 

The event was a part of the National Festival for Tolerance and Human Fraternity 2019. 

The flower carpet took shape of iconic landmarks in Dubai such as Burj Khalifa
