The Ministry Has Extended The Emiratisation Deadline To July 7

The Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation has made deadline changes to the Emiratisation plan and have taken into account the Eid Al Adha Holidays.

Private sector companies must comply with the Emiratisation policy by July 7 (new deadline) or they will face a fines

The Ministry has pushed the Emiratisation deadline, stating that this will give companies sufficient time to achieve their goals

The previous deadline was on June 30, 2023. Starting July 8, non-compliant companies will face a fine of AED42,000 for each Emirati not employed

The Emiratisation initiative applies to private sector companies with 50 employees or more only

To recap, Emiratisation is a federal law designed to raise the employment of locals (Emiratis) by 10% by the end of 2026. To achieve this goal, the annual target is divided into 2 parts, raising employment by 1% in the first 6 months of the year and another 1% in the second half of the year.
