On Tuesday, the French Police shot and killed an unarmed 17-year-old boy in a stationary car. The CCTV footage of the incident went viral and sparked mass outrage, causing droves of Parisians to march out in protest.
The UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs issued a statement calling for calm and the de-escalation of the situation in France. It is urging all Emirati citizens in the country to practice caution and to stay away from demonstrations sites.
The UAE Ministry expressed its full solidarity with the country and stressed on the importance of restoring order and respect for the rules and principles of French law. Also, it affirmed its robust confidence in France’s ability to overcome the current situation.
