The winner of the Waterfront Market Murals and Art Competition will be chosen by a panel of judges who have been carefully chosen for their enthusiasm for fostering and expanding the local art scene, including Khalil Abdulwahid Hassan, Director of the Fine Arts Department at Dubai Culture, Maitha Al Marri, and Lachlan Gyde, Executive Director – Asset Manager, Nakheel.
The competition’s participants are asked to express their creativity through striking murals, using their work as a force for good and spreading awareness of urgent environmental issues.
The competition winner’s mural will be permanently placed at the Waterfront Market alongside murals made by previous winners, giving the general public the chance to view and appreciate their artwork forever.
The public is invited to contribute to mural designs created by creative individuals or organisations.
The winning design will be picked by a panel of judges, and the selected artist will have the exceptional chance to paint it on one of the walls at the Waterfront Market.
People must be 18 years of age or older and residents of the UAE to be eligible to participate. Participation in the tournament this year is not open to previous champions.
