No injuries were reported but there was a minor fire at a restaurant in The Dubai Mall on Saturday evening.

The fire was reported at 7.43 pm, and firefighters reached the scene in six minutes. The fire was caused by a decorated tree and was quickly controlled by Dubai Civil Defence who evacuated the scene. The quick action of emergency services avoided any further damage during a busy shopping period.
