Born June 6 in 1981, Marwan Parham Al Awadhi, better known as DJ Bliss, is one of the UAE’s leading personalities as well as the first Emirati DJ to ever go on tour.
DJ Bliss has pretty much done everything you can imagine in the entertainment sector – TV presenting, radio hosting, emceeing, as well as dropping the best hits at numerous party events and clubs.
With his own company Bliss Inc. Entertainment, Marwan continues to expand on everything he’s done – making sure he gets MORE.
So here it goes, a post with everything you need to know about DJ Bliss, aka my favourite person, aka my current crush.
Went to school at Al Mawakeb, (If thats the one in Al Barsha, Bliss we’re more closer than you think) and studied university at the University Of Dubai.
Marwan ran his own school radio in school, started a band, started throwing parties (which apparently sucked, but its okay, look where he is now) and finally got a DJ gig at a theme park called Wonderland.
But he didn’t give up, thats the best part.
And Oriental? Not sure how that worked out but yeah. He did that though.
At a cute little bar and grill from back in the day called Henry J. Bean’s where he was making allegedly less than US100.
Landing a job at Free 96.7 where he hosted the daily evening show and a weekend show called The Projects.
Couple of years later moving to Radio One where he hosted a show called The Real Flava AAAAAAND The Breakfast Show!
He got to DJ for Beyonce, Jamiroquai and Kings of Leon for a crowd of 20,000 people. Incredible right?
Was presenting six radio shows and began DJ-ing four nights a week.
Take in a second to reminisce – People By Crystal 411 Saturday Nights? Their best nights ever? That’s right – that was Bliss too.
Alongside getting the opportunity to interview about half of the world’s celebrities. Including Akon, Kim Kardashian, Jennifer Lopez, Paris Hilton, Usher, Nicki Minaj, Quincy Jones and his all time favourite? Will Smith!
It’s not even triple threat at this point, its an ALL THREAT!
And ‘Made In Dubai’ made it to the top of the iTunes charts, making him officially the only Emirati DJ to ever make it that far.
DJ Bliss has obviously been through it all, and done it all, but the lesson to take away from this, is that with ambition and dedication you can definitely succeed somewhere in life.
Personally, I’d love to continue talking about him for the rest of the day, but check out the Vlog below to find out all you need to know about him.
And my personal message to Marwan:
are you interested in having a second wife?
