A fire broke out in a residential building in Discovery Gardens, Jebel Ali this afternoon.

The blaze started just after 4pm and the Dubai Civil Defence team were at the scene within eight minutes. 

The fire started on the second floor, while the baby was rescued from the third floor during evacuation. Local reports confirm the child is safe and there were no reported injuries.
