This is probably one of the most anticipated developments of the year (which is saying a lot when you live in a city like Dubai).

And unless you’ve been living under a rock you’ll aware that flying taxis will be part of the Dubai transport system in the very near future.

It’ll be a while before the general population will be zooming around in one of these nippy little vehicles, but recent reports state safety tests will begin before year end and are expected to continue for around five years.

The project will cost €25 million 

That’s according to the Volocopter website which states initial demonstrations will be happening in Dubai by year end 2017…Incredible!

The collaboration is in line with Dubai’s aim to carry out 25% of its passenger transportation through autonomous transport by 2030.
