Anyone looking to lend a helping hand in Dubai will see more and more volunteers doing the same thing as a new law will boost the act of giving and helping.
Announced by Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai on Sunday, the new law will ban anyone on volunteering in Dubai without permission from authorities.
The volunteering law, no. 5 of 2018, states that it will protect both the volunteer and the beneficiary by asking individuals to get approvals before volunteering.

It will regulate any volunteering work in Dubai and set improvements that will not only help motivate volunteers in the emirate but also protect them
Several specialisations were asked to draw up plans and public laws regarding volunteering work in Dubai under the supervision of the Community Development Authority.
This will in return help create a sturdier route to the culture of helping and giving back in Dubai.
2018’s Q1 saw 1,200 new volunteers and a saving of almost AED3.9 million thanks to their help.
While in 2017, the savings were almost AED6.9 million.
With almost half in just a couple of months, volunteering in Dubai seems to get more popular by the day.
