The Road and Transport Authority (RTA) took part in this year’s Zayed Humanitarian Work Day which symbolises the values of generosity and passion that the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan had been keen to instil.

Their efforts were carried out in cooperation with Rawafid Center for Development & Education, and the Red Crescent in Dubai.

The initiative benefited orphans and low income families

30 female employees volunteered to accompany 100 orphan children to purchase new clothing as part of the initiative.

The volunteers will also spend time with the children in a bid to bring some more happiness to them during the upcoming Eid Al Fitr celebrations.

Moaza Al Marri, Director of Marketing and Corporate Communication cum Chairperson of RTA Women Committee, said,”Helping needy children through charity fits well with the Islamic values, human dignity and civilised behaviour.”

They also distributed grocery vouchers to low-income families

500 needy families in Oud Mateena, Satwa, Hor Al Anz/East, Hatta, and Muhaisna, received shopping vouchers.

RTA also gifted shopping vouchers to female cabbies at Dubai Taxi Corporation who participated in Zayed Humanitarian Work Day.
