On Thursday evening, lots of Etisalat users reported an Internet outage

They were facing difficulties with internet connectivity and services were down for many apps. Some users also faced landline outages. Etisalat took to Twitter to explain that it was because of a technical problem and apologized for any inconvenience caused.

Currently, the Internet service is experiencing a technical problem. We apologize for any inconvenience you may encounter with some apps, as we are working with the relevant authorities to resolve the issue.

Residents complained on Twitter and the downdetector.ae webiste

The outage last around three to fours hours and was soon restored according to downdetector.ae

In statement on Twitter, the UAE service provider said that its technical teams were able to fix the issues resulting from the glitch that caused the partial disruption of the network

Etisalat also extended its “gratitude and appreciation” to their customers for their understanding.
