There were rumours, there were conspiracies, there were predictions… speculations and so forth about Dubai launching its own crypto coin and jumping on the digi-trend… and now we can finally confirm that UAE is all set to launch its own digital currency in the near future.

We are living in a digital age where the next obvious shift will be in the direction of cryptocurrency, and the UAE ain’t one to shy away from smart developments or futuristic standards of living.

So as part of the Central Bank of the United Arab Emirates’s new 2023-2026 strategy to position itself among the world’s top 10 central banks, it will be launching Govcoins/CBDCs as the UAE’s first digital currency.

Although our company has received no official email confirming this, the crypto coin is in talks and plans for the same will be announced by 2022 or 2023

Clarified an agent from the CBUAE.

This comes after multiple banks from around the world announced similar plans to introduce centralized blockchains and contest unregulated cryptocurrencies like bitcoin.

This huge transformation in the UAE’s financial sector will come to life with the help of the latest AI-tech and data solutions.

UAE Pass, the UAE’s digital ID infrastructure will have a lot to do with giving customers easy access to upcoming smart and innovative financial services.
