The travel ban to Lebanon which was imposed back in 2011 has been officially lifted on October 8. UAE nationals will now freely be able to travel back and fro the Middle-Eastern country.

This prohibition of Emiratis travelling to Lebanon was lifted when His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, met with Lebanon’s Prime Minister Saad Hariri at Al Bahr Palace in Abu Dhabi.

During their meeting, Hariri expressed his gratitude to the UAE for its tremendous support towards the fraternal country while it was going through challenges.

The Lebanese government has further assured the safety of all their entry ports

During their meeting, they discussed Arab, regional and global issues of mutual interest and ways to enhance the economy that would benefit both the countries

Saudi Arabia had lifted the travel ban for Lebanon earlier in February this year
