Renting a car from a store, waiting in a queue, having to bring documents, and put a down payment- all seems archaic.

At least, according to the car-sharing app, ekar’s CEO and co-founder, Vilhelm Hedberg, who spoke to us for this week’s podcast.The fast-pace of city life means traditional car rental shops have become a less efficient method to mobility; hence; passengers looking for alternatives.

Pretty soon, Hedberg says, people will no longer purchase cars.

Quite an intriguing statement, no?
