Representatives from the four Gulf states involved in the Qatar fallout are meeting today in Manama, Bahrain to discuss the crisis.

The four Gulf states cut ties with Qatar in June and set out a list of demands for Qatar in order for a reconciliation to be possible.

Representatives from Saudi Arabia, UAE, Egypt and Bahrain will be present

The two day meeting follows a revised list of demands after Qatar rejected the first list of 13 demands presented to them.

The Emir Of Qatar made his first public statement last week where he called for dialogue between the Gulf neighbours.

The four states are looking for Qatar’s compliance with their demands which include a commitment to combat terrorism.

Egyptian foreign ministry spokesman Ahmed Abu Zeid said in a statement that the meeting was called to “coordinate the stances of the four Arab countries” and to assess Qatar’s commitment to combatting terrorism and to end its interference in the internal affairs of other countries.
