Qatar Needs To Prosecute The Following List Of 18 Terrorists And Charity Groups To Prove Its Sincerity In Combatting Terrorism

The UAE, Saudi Arabia, Egypt and Bahrain, four countries involved in cutting ties with Qatar, added 18 names and names of charity groups to a ‘terrorist’ list.

According to Wam.ae, the four countries released a new statement affirming their commitment to fight terrorists ‘cut off sources of funding, prosecute those who are involved in it and combat extremist ideologies and hate speech incubators’.

To that effect, the countries announced 18 individuals and groups with links to terrorism who have direct or indirect links with Qatari authorities.

The list:

1-AL- Balagh Charitable Foundation – Yemen.

2-Al-Ihsan Charitable Society – Yemen.

3-Rahma Charitable Organization – Yemen.

4-Benghazi Revolutionaries Shura Council – Libya.

5-Al-Saraya Media Center- Libya.

6-Boshra News Agency – Libya.

7-Rafallah Sahati Brigade – Libya.

8-Nabaa TV – Libya.

9-Tanasuh Foundation for Dawa, Culture and Media – Libya.

Individuals…

1-Khalid Saeed al-Bounein (Qatari Citizen).

2-Shaqer Jummah al-Shahwani (Qatari Citizen).

3-Saleh bin Ahmed al-Ghanim (Qatari Citizen).

4-Hamid Hamad Hamid al-Ali (Kuwaiti Citizen).

5-Abdullah Mohammed al-Yazidi (Yemeni Citizen).

6-Ahmed Ali Ahmed Baraoud (Yemeni Citizen).

7-Mohammed Bakr al-Dabaa (Yemeni Citizen).

8-Al-Saadi Abdullah Ibrahim Bukhazem (Libyan Citizen).

9-Ahmed Abd al-Jaleel al-Hasnawi (Libyan Citizen).

Qatar must prove its sincerity towards fighting terrorism 

According to the report, some of the names have been involved in full-fledged fundraising activities, while others have provided support to terrorist groups in some shape or form.

The statement noted the Qatari authorities recent commitment with the US to fight terrorism and deemed that while it’s on the ‘right track’, the efforts are not enough.

The four countries now urge immediate action by the Qatari authorities to prosecute terrorist and extremist individuals and entities, particularly those listed, to prove its sincerity towards fight terrorism.  

The countries also affirmed the current cut off with Qatar and ‘possible future measures that might be taken’ until Qatar can comply with demands.
