Today marks the third day of protests in Lebanon.
Hundreds of thousands of residents have taken to the streets to vent against the government and how its dealing with the country’s worsening economic crisis.
The demonstrations come just two days after the worst forest fires hit Lebanon. And though people are outraged at proposed tax hikes, the protestors have remained thoroughly optimistic… And if you’ve seen some of the videos that are going viral, you’ll admit they are uniquely Lebanese.
Last night, DJs played a street-set from a balcony, groups of people have been seeing doing dabke in the streets and one woman has taken a moment to shame the government because she ‘can’t afford fillers’.
All in jokes, of course.
