1. Al Rajhi Mosque

There are many Al Rajhi mosques across the country and in most cases, they are the largest mosques in their respective cities. In Riyadh as well the Al Rajhi mosque is the largest with a total capacity of around 20,000 worshippers. The architecture is such that it kind of looks like a grand mosque from somewhere in North Africa.

2. KAPSARC Mosque

Smack in the heart of the King Abdullah Petroleum Studies and Research Center this modern-looking mosque is a welcome change. The initial photos of the mosque even went viral because of how striking it looked. 

3. KAFD Mosque

Standing in the midst of a concrete jungle the KAFD is another of those rare mosques in the country that carry elements of modern design in them. In fact, if one walks past it they won’t even recognize that it is a mosque.

4. Imam Turki Bin Abdullah Grand Mosque

In the old heart of Riyadh stands this mosque that portrays the finest forms of Najdi architecture. It even the won the Aga Khan Award for architecture in 1995. Though huge in size it actually blends within the urban fabric of the area rather than standing out as a landmark.

King Khalid Airport Mosque

Chances are if you search for Riyadh’s airport online you will probably be shown pictures of this mosque in Riyadh. And, why wouldn’t it be it looks so stunning.
