6 Of Riyadh’s BEST Winter Spots

Avatar

Riyadh with its pleasant winters is definitely one of the best places to visit. Yes, the city can be visited year-round and you’ll still be to explore its sites without hassle no matter what time you visit but winters here are extra special. Unlike winters elsewhere, winter in Riyadh has a vibe that makes you just want to get out and enjoy the weather.

With winter now at our doorsteps we take a look at some of the best winter spots in Riyadh. The temperatures have started to go down now, so now’s probably a good time to start visiting these places.

1. Al Ghadeer Walk

Al Ghadeer Walk is one of the best walking spots in the city. If you’re not in the mood to walk you can rent the bicycles here. It’s just the perfect place to enjoy the weather and one of the best places to view the sleek new skyscrapers of the financial district.

2. Al-Ammariah Hills

It’s the kind of place you’d want to go when you are looking for some quiet away from the hustle and bustle of the city. A nice play to go with the entire family and possibly spend a weekend even.

3. Richard Bödeker Park

The Diplomatic Quarter is home to countless parks but this particular park named after German landscape architect Richard Bödekr who contributed immensely to urban planning in the Riyadh region is extra special. There are lots of seasonal flowers here, stones have been incorporated beautifully in the landscape and the fountains here just add to give that extra Zen.

4. Khuzama Park

If you’re here when the flowers bloom, trust us, you’ll probably be hard-pressed to find any other nature spot in Riyadh that can outdo it.

5. Kawa Café

We love coffee like perhaps no other city in Saudi does, so how can a list of best winter spots in Riyadh be complete without a nice coffee place? The café is open-air so you can enjoy the cool weather while sipping a piping hot cup of specialty coffee. It even offers an amazing view of the cityscape as well.
