The Russian pediatrician Dr. Evgeny Komarovsky has reported in his recent research that sunlight can cause an 80% increase in children’s risk of skin cancer.

Dr. Komarovsky said that there are two types of sun rays that damage the skin. The most aggressive and dangerous are UVA rays. They can cause damage at the DNA level and contribute to the appearance of malignant tumors. The second kind is UVB rays, which cause sunburn.

He pointed out that these two types of rays can penetrate some types of clothing. Therefore, it is advised to wear clothes made of well-knit fabrics, and if these clothes are not available, sunscreen ointments must be applied all over the body.
