Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Environment, Water, and Agriculture has issued some serious fines targeting people who have abused animals.
Collectively the fines reached up to SAR 500,000 riyals
The move comes as part of new regulations rolled out by the ministry, set to strictly criminalize animal abuse in all its forms.
According to Okaz, the majority of violations included injecting camels with Botox and abusing stray cats.
Al Dowairej also said that some people were fined for practicing veterinary medicine without a license and illegally selling ill animals.
