‘HWJN,’ the super cool fantasy romance flick, is one of the most anticipated movies in Saudi. The trailer for the movie just dropped, and it’s on a scale that perhaps no movie from the Gulf has ever been attempted on.
Based on a book that was a literary sensation in Saudi Arabia when it hit shelves in 2013, it blends a Twilight-esque love story with Arabic folklore.
Now, it’s hitting the big screen, and it’s going to be one heck of a ride! The story revolves around HWJN, a kind-hearted jinn living in modern-day Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. He’s on a mind-blowing quest to reclaim his birthright while battling ancient evils, and he falls for Sawsan, a young med student.
The movie looks top-notch, promising a slick, high-end production that will blow fans and audiences away in the Middle East. And who knows, it might even travel far beyond!
