Rio & Tia Angel Wolf Are Guinness World Record Holders!
Here’s your daily dose of inspiration from a Dubai family that proves you can do anything you put your mind to.
Siblings Tia and Rio from the well-known Dubai family @TeamAngelWolf have broken the Guinness World Record for the ‘fastest time to complete an Olympic distance triathlon whilst carrying a person’.
Tia is 16 years old and weighs 49.50kg, Rio is a 19-year-old person with disabilities and weighs 50.55kg. To complete the race, Tia swam 1.5km pulling Rio in a kayak, she cycled 50km on an adapted bike, in which Rio has a seat on the front and finally, Tia ran 10km pushing Rio in a running chair.
Together they completed the race in 3hrs 39mins 37 secs, that’s five minutes faster than the Guinness World Record cut-off point at 3hrs 45mins!
Tia has done many triathlons, but this was her longest. Most just have to worry getting themselves around the course, but Tia did it taking her big brother, Rio, & she took sole responsibility of him during the race, nobody else touched or assisted him. Together they showed the possibilities, impact & strength of inclusion, by community & family, including People With Disabilities in sport (whom cannot compete independently); this is what we call #inclusiveImpactivity.
