Roads in Dubai are fairly smooth with road signs indicating upcoming speed bumps, closures, roundabouts, the whole lot. But because the city is constantly developing, new roads are coming about and some don’t have the safety measures put in place. A Dubai resident recently moved into a new building in Al Barsha South and drove her car into a hole.
“Good that I’m alive, it could have been a much worse scenario” she wrote to Lovin Dubai.
Construction sites typically have a clear road sign, cones, covers, and an alternative road or at least a clear path. The resident was driving in Barsha South beside Burj Al Khair and Hamad Tower. She told Lovin Dubai that there are no roads near her house.
Her white sedan vehicle fell head first into the whole but is somehow balancing upside down. The rear wheels of the car are way off the ground and the front of the vehicle is within the hole. She added that at night “it’s not visible.”
Luckily SHE IS OKAY but if you’re ever driving in the area, please be cautious and turn on the high beams if necessary, until the construction is complete.
