When was the last time you checked your Uber rating?

Well, if you’re anything like me, it’s probably not something you’re consciously aware of but a Dubai resident went through an opposite situation on Monday.

A Dubai resident was told she wouldn’t be picked up because of her low ‘4.34 Uber rating

Ratings by car-hailing apps can usually go both ways, passengers rate their drivers depending on the 5-star scale and vice-versa. So when a twitter user (who we’ve decided to keep anonymous) shared a hilarious tweet of a driver refusing to pick her up due to this, the rest of Twitter soon took notice.

She then took to Twitter to express her frustration

…in the loving, confused way that one would.

The user tweeted saying, “I’m shook to my soul. Is 4.3 really a bad rating?Is this some kind of Black Mirror episode?”

…which, naturally, sparked a public reaction of sorts

For some, it was their first time hearing that passengers got rated too, others found the cheekiness extremely hilarious and unusual while others couldn’t understand why a relatively high rating was deemed as ‘low’ by the driver.
