On Friday morning, over 20,000 cyclists took over Downtown Dubai to cycle their way through the first-ever Dubai Ride. This included residents, citizens and even sports stars like Puyol and Figo. They were also joined by the Crown Prince of Dubai, HH Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum aka Fazza.
Most residents become a part of this amaze event to complete their 30×30 in a lovely way while making history. However, there was one resident who brought something special to the Dubai Ride.
Ajmal was seen cycling with a bunch of groceries in his bike’s basket at the back
He mentioned that he was doing this to thank all the frontline workers especially the delivery boys who have been delivering all the essentials to everyone across Dubai throughout the pandemic.
Throughout his ride, Ajmal was appreciated by fellow cyclists for what he was doing. Some people stopped and asked him more about his dedication, and some others rode by while saying encouraging words like “well done, my friend”.
Ajmal managed to keep all kinds of groceries with him from chips to water and one of the most important items of 2020 – tissues!
He was also lucky enough to spot Fazza around him through the Dubai Ride
The Dubai Ride was a phenomenal event that involved people not just showing up to keep up with their 30×30 but they also followed rules and safety protocols throughout.
With the pandemic creating trouble in people’s lives, this one can definitely be counted as a sweet gesture by Ajmal, and here’s to many more in 2021!
