It’s known as Sheikh Zayed Road in Dubai and Sheikh Maktoum Road in Abu Dhabi. For us, it’s the lifeline of the city (but a nightmare during peak hours).
Running from Abu Dhabi to Ras Al Khaimah, it is perhaps the longest road in the Emirates. In Dubai we recognise it as the stretch between Trade Centre roundabout and Jebel Ali that’s home to some of Dubai’s oldest skyscrapers. It also features the red line of the metro running alongside it.
