The Filipina passenger, Gel Rodriguez from Davao City in the Philippines layered on 2.5kg worth of clothes to avoid paying excess baggage fees. The passenger was told by the check-in staff that her luggage was too heavy and weighed 9kg which exceeded the 7kg weight limit and that she had to pay extra to check-in the suitcase.

Gel Rodriguez then bamboozled the staff… and all of the internet when she wore on ALL the extra clothing items from her suitcase before boarding her flight. Doing this got her suitcase weight down to 6.5kg.
