Have you noticed these new additions to some Dubai roads?
The silver-coloured metal objects have popped up on roads across Dubai casuing some confusion among drivers.
A Dubai road user, TW@LilB_Twit spotted the feature and to get to the bottom of it, he shared a video across social media.
Surprisingly, it was actually Dubai’s trusted Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) who were the first to jump into the comments and offer an explanation.
@rta_dubai what are these on the ground? #dubai pic.twitter.com/TLXzMctNcn

Thanks for contacting us. Please note that this is a "Traffic counting device" that is used for collecting traffic information (counts, speed and Gaps) in order to analyse the junction of the location.
