Toblerone Ruined The Shape Of Its Bars And People In Dubai Are Not Happy
You’ve got to be from another planet to not know the shape of a Toblerone bar. It’s so distinctive because of its row of chocolate peaks and triangular packaging.
When the company decided to change the shape of the bars….people noticed and weren’t too happy. Unlike before, the bars now have large gaps between the triangles. The makers blamed the change on higher costs.
This is the company’s explanation on Facebook:
“We carry these costs for as long as possible, but to ensure Toblerone remains on-shelf, is affordable and retains the triangular shape, we have had to reduce the weight of just two of our bars.”
The weight has reduced but the packaging stays the same
The weight of the 400gm bar has gone down to 360gm and the weight of the 170gm bar has gone down to 150gm.
