Who wouldn’t want to work in a company that’s officially been named as the greatest workplace ever?
No, seriously, if you’re planning to make a move or want to shake things up professionally, you might want to refer to this list.
A study by the Great Place to Work (GPTW) institute, a global research training and consultancy firm, revealed its ninth annual list of Best Workplaces in the country.
And it turns out the bosses at DHL are doing everything right as the logistics giant was named the top company to work for in the UAE. DHL made a return to the no. 1 spot from second place last year.
The report said that DHL has consistently raised the bar when it comes to keeping its employees happy, and has fostered a “unique and enviable workplace environment” that puts an emphasis on learning and development.
Other big winners on the list are Hilton, FedEx Express, Weber Shandwick, WSP, Hilti and Hill + Knowlton Strategies.
So, how does the institute make this list objectively?
According to the firm, the factors taken into consideration include things like credibility, respect, fairness, pride and camaraderie.
They also base their ratings on the (confidential) feedback of employees, as well as on audits done on the company’s management and HR practices.
According to Maha Zaatari, Managing Director of Great Place to Work in the UAE, a great organisation continuously monitors their employees’ work environments and “seek new and impactful ways to increase happiness levels, enhance skills and retention rates and, ultimately, augment productivity.”
