5 UAE Residents Returning From Umrah Passed Away In A Car Crash
On Monday, a tragic accident occurred on the Mecca-Riyadh road in Saudi Arabia, leading to the devastating loss of five lives from a Jordanian family.
The family of Palestinian-Jordanian origin, residing in the UAE, was returning from performing Umrah
The vehicle of the family collided with another car headed to Abu Dhabi, UAE, resulting in a tragic car accident. At the scene of the accident site, local residents promptly reacted by leaving their vehicles, calling emergency services, and providing help.
Haitham Khattab, head of the Humanitarian and Accidents Committee at Al Nashama Forum, identified the deceased as Malik Akram Kharma, the father, and his four children, Akram, Maya, Dana and Dima.

The mother of the four accident victims is receiving treatment at King Fahd Hospital in Saudi Arabia’s Hofuf region
Thankfully, the mother’s condition is stable. A number of Saudi nationals stayed at the hospital to support the grieving mother throughout her difficult time.
The mother’s sister took Facebook to dedicate a heartfelt post to the family
She said,
With faith in God’s will and destiny, we mourn the loss of my sister’s husband, Malek Khormah, and their four children, Akram, Maya, Dana, and Dima, who were called to God’s mercy after a traffic accident in Saudi Arabia. They were returning home after performing the sacred rituals of Umrah.
Since the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is neighbours of the UAE and is connected by roadways, some UAE residents choose to travel by car or by public transportation. Furthermore, the trip usually takes up to 11 hours and 45 minutes.
Heartfelt condolences and prayers are being extended to the family.
