A Dubai-Based Tycoon Gave Back To His Old University With A Generous AED500K Donation

Sudhakar R. Rao, an Indian businessman in Dubai, donates more than AED500k (Rs10 million) to the National Institute of Technology, Warangal, Telangana (NIT).

Being an alumnus of the renowned Indian institute, Rao stated that ‘he’s always wanted to repay the tremendous debt of gratitude he owed to his alma mater’ according to Gulf News.

The founder and chairman of the Gemini group, which is a property development group, has contributed to the public university during their diamond jubilee celebrations.

Sudhakar R. Rao who originates from the south of India pursued his degree in electrical engineering from NIT Warangal

 

The funds will be going towards helping the university set up an Innovation and Incubation Centre
