A Car Travelling At 135Km/h Got STUCK On Cruise Control On Emirates Road

A 22-year-old Emirati man was driving in cruise control on Emirates Road when his vehicle became STUCK at speeds of 135km/h. He was driving in the direction of Umm Al Quwain when the incident happened and he immediately contacted Sharjah Police who saved the man’s life with their fast action
Sharjah Police swung into action and like something out of a movie, they brought the man to safety

Police matched the driver’s speed and worked under serious pressure to ensure the man’s safety
Sharjah Police stayed in contact with the driver and issued him directions. They made sure his seatbelt and his hazard lights were on, while coordinating a safe path for a Police vehicle to match his speed.
As soon as they were travelling at the same speed, Police told the driver to lightly bump into the police car. The action of bumping a car would cease cruise control.
The operation was a success but Police have reminded drivers not to rely on cruise control.
