After receiving an alert from the European Rapid Alert System of as a precautionary measure to withdraw Kinder products from the UAE market, Abu Dhabi Food and Safety Authority has cleared Kinder products in the country from being contaminated in any way.
This announcement comes after Kinder products were suspected of being linked to food poisoning in a number of European countries due to salmonella infections.

According to WAM, ADAFSA explained in a statement that as soon as they received an alert from the European Rapid Alert System of precautionary withdrawal of some batches of one of Kinder’s suspected products, the Authority’s inspectors checked Abu Dhabi’s markets to ensure whether suspected products were identified in the alert or not.
They also cross checked with suppliers and food facilities and reached out to “Ferrero” the company that produces this chocolate in the UAE – which confirmed that the products currently in the Abu Dhabi’s market are safe.
ADAFSA also checked shipments of Kinder products entering Abu Dhabi throughout the all borders and confirmed that they were not suspected batches.
Dubai Municipality also announced in a recent social media post, that they assure consumers that should not fret the salmonella allegations, as Kinder products in Dubai and the Middle East are not linked at all to the salmonella outbreak and have not been contaminated.
According to multiple sources, the Kinder factory linked with the salmonella outbreak in Belgium has recalled all it’s products and was ordered to shut down after suspected salmonella cases were linked to Kinder’s products in UK, Germany, France and Belgium.
