Life always has a way of working itself out.
Just when you feel like you’ve reached the end of your mission or goals, the path evolves – and throws more challenges and quests your way.
That said, India’s TOP Michelin Star celebrity chef Vikas Khanna sat down with Lovin Dubai and shared his inspiring journey into the culinary world, and what made him set out on a pursuit to reignite the essence of Indian cuisine.
Khanna, 50, also spoke in-depth about the launch of his NFT book in Dubai, ‘Sacred Foods of India’ in collab with Akshaya.io (that was unveiled on June 23): The first NFT of his ‘Sacred Foods of India’ book sold for a whopping $55,000.
These are foods for the soul that also build communities.

Khanna spoke about America’s former president’s love for India and how Obama sparked a flame within him to bring India’s heritage to the forefront.
“Since that day I have been committed to it, that for us it’s not just those dishes which you serve in the restaurants, for us it’s very important to talk about the heritage of those dishes.
From that time until today, speaking to you right now, my entire career has been built up on the fact that we’re talking about not just the modernisation and Frenchification or Americanisation of the dishes – it’s about those dishes and their list of memories and history, and how they evolve to become those dishes.”
