Gulf For Good

You might know someone who’s completed a Gulf for Good Challenge, you might have attended an event or donated towards one of its causes… What you may not know is how this impressive Dubai charity found its roots…

21 years in the making, Gulf for Good was founded in 2001, when its original Chairman Brian Wilkie MBE, and Paul Oliver – co-founders of Gulf for Good – wanted to raise funds to buy an ambulance for a war-torn community in Namibia. To do so, they gathered 49 people to climb Mount Kilimanjaro, and raised enough money to buy 4 brand-new Land Rover ambulances!

The mission became a formula for success and to date, Gulf for Good has hosted more than 100 challenges, raising almost USD 5 million for 63 projects in 30 countries helping over 33,300 children in need. The incredible effort is thanks to a hard-working and passionate team who create challenges, host preparation events, and ensure the funds raised are distributed to worthy causes. Last week, Chairwoman of Gulf For Good Kat Kearsey joined The Lovin Dubai Show to spread the good word about the incredible impact Gulf For Good has around the world.

Gulf For Good helps children in need by running challenges, the challengers raise a set amount of money which is donated to a chosen cause
