This Man Works With Some Of The Biggest Celebrities In The World As A Talent Manager

Perhaps the first time I subconsciously registered the presence of Hady El Hajjar was in June 2022, while I was drooling over Yasmine Sabri and Deepika Padukone’s looks during a Cartier event.

This man looked extremely relaxed in a simple black suit while being surrounded by some big names. His presence definitely commanded attention in the room. And yet, how was he blending into the shadows?

Visible, yet so invisible?

Hady El Hajjar is a talent manager and a media and marketing expert who co-founded HuManagement ME back in 2007. They’ve dealt with some BIG names, including Neymar, Nancy Ajram, Maya Diab, Khaby Lame, Georgina, Salman Khan, Mona Kattan, Huda Kattan and more!

What makes Hady so good at his job? The proud father of 3 likens it to handling a nursery.

“You need to take care of everyone and give the attention and love to everyone. That’s it simply. This is the secret.”

Breaking down the role of a talent manager, Hady explains how it extends way beyond the glam of travel and partying with celebrities

He describes it as a “full job from A-Z.”

The talent manager is responsible for everything that the artist/content creator does. Literally everything. What they say, read, eat; the plans, positioning, strategies; the songs, series…even all the Instagram content!

“The success of a talent management agency is whenever you have success stories of taking a rising star and making him a superstar.”

Hady left his job of 15 years at a record label to start HuManagement ME. Today, he proudly shares how the tables have reversed, and celebrities now go to him for management and branding. The company is one of the top recommended for this region!

“We live in drama, every day there is drama”

As expected when it comes to dealing with human beings with real feelings, moods, personal life issues and more…so there is always drama. Hady explains how there is no day that goes without 6 or 7 situations of crisis management.

“Us as talent agencies…we are in the middle between celebrities and clients, between celebrities or governments, between celebrities and any third party.”

The talent manager needs to find a middle ground between keeping the people who paid for the act happy while also respecting the artist’s creative freedom…something that is definitely no easy task.

“So this is the hard job of making everyone happy.”

In the age of 24/7 connectivity through social media…you can no longer get famous after just one hit!

“The challenge is to sustain.”

Hady introduces us to the concept of ‘popcorn.’ It is when you see a star coming up and then going down, followed by another star, and another, and another. Talent managers need to find ways to make them sustain in the long run.

Its not the number of followers, its not the social media.

“I always tell my team…that you need to have a talent first”

And although there are many ways to be famous, some important questions to ask are- would it sustain, does it have a message or a purpose?

“So being famous first comes with focusing on a talent, paying back to the community, and then you market yourself in the right places with the right media, having the right management.”

He specifically insists on the aspect of paying back to society!

Hady confirms everyone’s suspicions: Yes, most of what you see on social media is indeed “scripted reality”

It’s plain and simple marketing- showing you what you want to see.

Talking about Instagram couples he says, “You see on social media a certain image but in real life, they are going for a divorce.”

For Hady personally, ‘couple goals’ is not something to show off.

“You have to have your own understanding between you and your partner…when you start showing off and overdoing it, you’ll start losing the couple itself.”

There’s a good chance that the prominent couples you see on social media have more issues than you think… Mic drop!
