Instagram VS Reality: While your ‘gram feed might be filled with beaches, pool days and weekend desert activities, you can be sure most residents are putting the hours in at work… and here’s the evidence to prove it.

According to Business Name Generator, the UAE is the third hardest working country… IN THE WORLD. New research from BNG notes that the concept of 9-5 has become increasingly blurred, ‘with many individuals now working beyond the traditional 9 to 5 to achieve their goals and make a livelihood.’

The researchers analyzed worldwide data on the average hours worked per week in each country and the percentage of workers working 49 or more hours per week to find out where worldwide has the hardest working employees. They also looked at productivity levels, employment rates, and more.

The top 3: Malta is the world’s hardest working country followed by Bhutan and the UAE

46.5 % of workers in the UAE log 49 or more hours per week in UAE…

According to the report, the hard-working Maltese top the list, and report that 91% of people work more than 50 hours per week.

The UAE ranks third for hardest working residents, with an average working week of nearly 53 hours but a lower percentage of workers working over 49 hours a week (46.5%).
