Dubai Police shared a video on socials highlighting the penalties for jumping a red light. The video is made of up a collection of past incidences where drivers ran a red light. Most of the time jumping red lights will lead to traffic accidents. And most of the time, drivers were not paying attention to the road.

Jumping red lights could land you an AED50,000 fine, 30-day vehicle impoundment and 23 black points

On July 6, 2023, Dubai Police shared the latest updates regarding traffic fines

The fine for releasing any impounded vehicle that committed the following crime is AED50,000:

1- Jumping Red Lights

2- Allowing individuals under 18 to drive vehicles

3- Watching or participating in illegal activities

4- Deliberately colliding with police cars

5- Driving around with fake plates
