Moreover, both private and public sector employees in the UAE will enjoy a three-day holiday to commemorate Prophet Muhammad’s (Peace be upon him) birthday, with Friday being designated as a day off. This extended weekend includes the regular Saturday-Sunday break. – so no excuse here for not catching the LAST supermoon of the year!
This month’s lunar display is affectionately known as the Harvest Moon, and it gets its name because it occurs closest to the beginning of the autumn season. In times before electricity, farmers relied on the Moon’s gentle glow to work on their crops during the nighttime hours. This lunar illumination was especially vital during the fall, when the harvests were at their peak.
