Nationals and residents are bringing their love for the UAE to the tracks! Several residents are joining together once again as Team UAE to represent the country on a global scale at the 2023 World Triathlon Age-Group Championships in Pontevedra, Spain

The season finale, the 2023 World Triathlon Championship Finals will be staged in Pontevedra, Spain, from the 20-24 September. Undoubtedly, the most anticipated event of the year in which the best triathletes (Elite, Para and Age-Group) in the world will be aiming for.

The team also just completed the World Triathlon Championship Series Abu Dhabi, where more than 100 athletes of 89 different nationalities came together to represent the UAE.

Team UAE will be a diverse mix of people from around the world- and the UAE itself- who call the country their home… and that is actually the perfect representation of the city!

The requirements for entering Team UAE make it obvious that all who love the country and triathlons are welcome

• Hold a valid UAE passport or residency visa and an Emirates ID
• Be a member of the UAE Triathlon
• Meet the Standard Distance Qualifying time (result from a verified UAE Triathlon event)
• Must not belong to another country’s Triathlon National Federation, other than the UAE Triathlon
• Aged 18+ years

Team UAE’s vision is to inspire a stronger national identity within the UAE through this triathlon

The creation of Team UAE was intended to build national pride and community spirit.

It will be one of the largest delegations to arrive at the triathlon. This initiative is definitely going to have a ripple effect in Dubai, as it is an international declaration that the country is rising as a premier destination for sports, health and fitness.

It also motivates new and existing athletes to achieve their full potential as they work towards their best self for Team UAE!
