Team Angel Wolf are all about creating an inclusive environment for all, specifically for People of Determination as their son, Rio is. He’s an outstanding 18-year-old who swam, ran, and cycled despite his disabilities.
Have you stopped to wonder what it’s like for the family of someone with disabilities, particularly the mother? Mama Wolf gave her insight. She put pen to paper, or rather, clicked the keyboard and wrote exactly what she thinks of, even if they’re unpopular opinions.
She describes that she feels that her main job and purpose with Rio is taking care of him. She doesn’t even let anyone take on that role unless it’s a trusted family member, close friends, or someone she’s vetted and trained. She wonders what it would be like if she passed before him. Who would take her of him? She knows he would be in the safe hands of his sister Tia, but she explains that she has her own life and goals she wants to reach. She also mentioned his father, “Yes, I know, there is also his dad, Nick; but in my denial, unrealistic, masterplan of daily survival, I have naturally outlived him too (please don’t tell him!), so he is out of the equation of a long term solution in my messed up mind.”
She had gone through weeks of radiotherapy after finding out she had a lump. She explains she needed a mammogram, performed a biopsy, then a lumpectomy surgery. She said this has put a spanner in her master plan of immortality. Although she’s perfectly healthy at the moment, no one knows what the future holds but she’s hopeful.
Although what she wishes for cannot be granted by hard work alone, the community is by Team Angel Wolf’s side.
