In 2002, Dubai resident Nick Watson completed Kona, a famously tough Iron Man in Kailua, Hawaii.

At the time, his wife Delphine was pregnant with their won Rio, and when Nick crossed the finish line, he told her, “one day I want to come back with my son and race together”.

Fast forward 18 years, and though this is not the life the family predicted, together Nick and Rio are preparing to take on Kona, TOGETHER.

A ‘horrendously hard’ Iron Man, Nick will carry Rio, who is a person of determination, for the 3.86km swim, the 180.25km bicycle, finished by the 42.20km marathon.

What’s needed to get the team to the finish line

The team are looking for financial help. Companies and individuals can contribute to help the likes of securing a new carbon fibre kayak, bike and running chair to ensure Nick & Rio can make the extremely tight cutoff times to enable them to stay in the race.

Pre Kona, Team Angel Wolf will need to participate in two middle distance and one full distance triathlon race, before the participation of the IRONMAN World Championship, Kona in 2021. So it’s a long road and your company can be involved every step of the way.

For these build-up races and for Hawaii, the team needs to secure flights, accommodation in each location and will have a range of logistics and support requirements. If you can help, get in touch with the team.
