The Dubai community is a very active one and that’s why there are loads of fitness centres, gyms, running tracks and cycling routes all over the city.

There’s also the annual Dubai Fitness Challenge which is a month-long event that encourages everyone to do any exercise for 30 minutes a day for 30 days. The DFC has started and the people are on their feet, getting their exercise on!

The Nakheel Palm Run took place on Palm Jumeirah and was attended by 1,790 runners on Saturday morning

The lead developer Nakheel, organised the first edition of ‘Nakheel Palm Run’, in partnership with Race ME. Thousands of people, including People Of Determination participated in the run. It included distances of 21.1km, 10km, and 5km for those above the age of 16, and a 1km course for children and teenagers aged 4 to 15.

And today, Dubai ladies laced up their sneakers for the Dubai Women’s Run

The race took place at Festival Bay, Dubai Festival City, and it had quite an exquisite backdrop, overlooking the serene waters of the creek and Dubai skyline. It included distances of 3km, 5km and 10km open to all skill levels.
