The UAE Sent AED73.4 Million In Aid To The Palestinian People

The UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan directed US$20 million in humanitarian aid to the Palestinian people. Over the past few days, the UAE expressed concern regarding the escalation of violence between Israel and Palestine. Moreover, the nation stressed on the importance of halting escalations and preserving the lives of civilians.

The UAE is sending over AED73.4 million in aid to the Palestinian people amid the conflict

Moreover, the aid is channeled through the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East. This comes comes as part of the UAE’s policy to provide urgent relief and assistance to vulnerable populations. Also, sending aid to those in need around the world in times of crisis.

On October 8, the UAE president held phone calls with the King of Jordan, the Presidents of Egypt, Syria, Israel, and the Prime Minister of Canada

During the call, His Highness discussed with the leaders the necessity of stopping the escalation. Additionally, he mentioned exercising the utmost levels of restraint to protect all civilians and preserve Palestinian and Israeli lives amidst the conflict. The UAE President reiterated the importance of dialogue and diplomacy. Moreover, His Highness encouraged the international community to support all efforts aimed at avoiding further conflict that jeopardises the security and stability of the region and its people.
