The burning of a Holy Quran copy by extremists in Denmark has elicited a strong condemnation from the UAE. Urging immediate action, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs has called on the Danish government to take full responsibility and put an end to such actions.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs stressed the significance of monitoring hate speech that undermines peace and security

The Ministry restated its strong opposition to using freedom of expression as a justification for heinous acts that seek to disrupt security and stability, contrary to fundamental humanitarian and ethical principles. Furthermore, the Ministry emphasized that hate speech and extremism run counter to global endeavors promoting tolerance, coexistence, and peace among nations.

Moreover, the Ministry also underlined the importance of respecting religious symbols and refraining from incitement and polarization, especially during a time when global cooperation is crucial to reaffirm a dedication to universal values of tolerance and harmonious coexistence.

The Ministry highlighted that promoting and implementing these principles are essential for achieving stability and sustainable development
