UAE Airlines Are Cancelling A Few Flights To Tel Aviv Amid War

Over 1,000 lives were lost and thousands were wounded on both sides, according to AP News since the war in Israel and Palestine was declared. World leaders have urged both parties to de-escalate the situation.

Airlines worldwide are suspending, cancelling or delaying flights heading to Tel Aviv, Israel. Local airlines from the UAE have also followed suit.

UAE airlines including Etihad, Wizz Air and FlyDubai have recently cancelled a few flights to Tel Aviv

Etihad flights EY593 and EY594 from Abu Dhabi to Tel Aviv on October 8 and 9 were cancelled and Wizz Air also cancelled a number of flights this week

Both airlines, however, are continuing operations as normal and are monitoring the situation.

FlyDubai cancelled two flights, FZ 1625/1626 and FZ 1807/1808 on October 7 but they are still operating flights as normal

Other airlines have also cancelled flights landing at Ben Gurion airport including American Airlines, Air France, Lufthansa, Virgin Atlantic and Ryanair.

Emirates is operating flights as normal. An Emirates spokesperson said “Currently, our three daily services to/from Tel Aviv are operating as scheduled. We have been closely monitoring the situation in Israel since it began, and we are in close contact with the relevant authorities regarding developments. The situation is dynamic and we are carefully reviewing all factors on an hour-by-hour basis. The safety of our passengers, employees and operations will always be our top priority.”
