UK Gov alert

UK citizens residing in the UAE received an email announcing an update in travel advice and an updated assessment of the likelihood of terrorist attacks happening in the UAE.

Titled: Update from GOV.UK for: United Arab Emirates travel advice

The email announced an edit made to the UK Government travel advice website on October 29 which updated the possibility of a terror attack on the UAE to ‘very likely’. The latest report reads: ‘Updated assessment that the risk of terrorist attacks happening in the UAE is very likely’.

The ‘terrorism’ page outlines past threats in the UAE during 2022 and indicates a likelihood of ‘further threats.’ However, it does not specify the reason for the latest update. It also notes that around 1.5 million British nationals visit the UAE annually, with the majority of visits being “incident-free.”

The terror alert has been upgraded to “very likely”

The report says there is an increased threat against Western interests, including against UK citizens

Further attacks are likely. If an incident does occur, you should monitor local media reports and follow the advice of the local authorities. See Safety and Security and Terrorism.

There is a possibility of an increased threat against Western interests, including against UK citizens. You should remain vigilant and keep up to date with the latest developments, including via the media and this travel advice.

The internet has responded to the email… calling it ‘alarm, propaganda and prejudice towards the Arab world’

This is because the UAE have taken a stand today and condemned the attacks of violence and terror being committed by !Sale. This is to just scare people into believing something is going to happen in ANY Arab country and provoke more hatred. The British government is pathetic.
