The wet wipe check has been doing rounds on social media after a video went viral in France
The original trend was started by @marvinlaqueen on TikTok, who has been going around France and swiping wet wipes on the handles of various escalators.
When lifted again, the once white wet wipe is usually a frightening greyish black.
